Hassan Tatanaki

The Chairman & Philanthropist

Under his leadership Challenger ramped up operations and expanded into different markets and countries. With his appointment to the Board, Hassan took a different managerial route and now provides strategic planning initiative and direction enabling the Company to adapt and prosper in the dynamic competitive environment.

Hassan sits on various boards and has spearheaded many initiatives spanning different industries. Hassan has a longstanding passion for philanthropy in his home country of Libya in which he has personally supported schools, hospitals, and foundations with the sole purpose of helping others. Hassan’s interest in international relations coupled with his personal network, has seen him aiding Libya and other countries to promote collaboration and deepen relations.

Yelmaz S. Tatanaki

Member of the Board of Directors of Challenger Limited. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Aman Global International Limited. Yelmaz became directly involved in the management of Challenger Limited since 1998, and is currently leading the company’s business development and new ventures, focusing on expanding the international network and vision. His efforts are cementing strategic international partnerships for the group’s future growth.

Faiz S. Tatanaki

Member of the Board of Directors of Challenger Limited. Faiz became very actively involved in the management of Challenger Limited since the late 90’s, and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the company. Under his leadership, Challenger Limited became the largest, privately owned, land drilling and work-over services contractor in Libya. With a proven track record of growing companies in both the UAE and Libya, he brings a hands-on approach to management, ensuring operational excellence and strategic growth. His expertise lies in driving efficiency and productivity, enabling businesses to achieve their goals and reach new heights.

Hatem A Fakhr

is a member of the Board of Directors of Challenger Limited representing Challenger Group Ltd, the holders of 63% of the total shares of Challenger Limited. H Fakhr was engaged by Challenger Limited back in 1992, and currently serves as CFO and Deputy Chief Executive of the company. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of; Challenger Saudi Arabia Limited – KSA, Sogedico s.r.l. – Italy and Emaco Group International s.r.l. – Italy, which are all members of the Challenger Group of companies. Prior to his engagement with Challenger Limited, H Fakhr has had a fairly long experience (10+ years) in the field of finance where he had held several senior financial management positions in, Citibank NA – Egypt, Fulbright Commission for Cultural Exchange – Egypt, Raytheon Industries (RayMed) – Egypt and Coopers & Lybrand – Egypt (currently PwC). He also had relatively short experiences in the fields of aircraft handling and documentation with Lufthansa – Egypt and language teaching for adults with the International Language Institute – Egypt (member of the British IH Group). H Fakhr holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.
